The improv comedy show to bust isolation blues!
September 08, 2020
Comedy Olympics is set to fill Wollongong Town Hall with the sound of laughter once again. Rising Arts Productions returns with their socially-distanced, competitive improv show on the Friday 11 September.
Comedy Olympics will be the first live show to take stage at the Wollongong Town Hall, and will see teams of improvisers duke it out in hilarious improv games in the hope to be declared the funniest comedians in Wollongong.
Entirely improvised, the comedians won’t know what they’re in for until the night. Add to that the strict health guidelines in place to ensure performer and audience safety, this show is shaping up to be an improv show unlike any other.
There will be many familiar faces from the Illawarra comedy scene, including accomplished improvisers and comics with accolades from RAW Comedy Wollongong, Playmates Illawarra, ImproAustralia Scared Scriptless and The Cranston Cup. Audiences who love the unpredictable hilarity of shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway will love this local and Olympic take on improv.
Comedy Olympics will most certainly bring back a much-needed laugh after a long time away from the stage.
