March 06, 2020
On the back of Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest, TEG Live is pleased to announce that Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will be joining one of the most successful and best-selling artists of his generation, Lenny Kravitz, on his “Here to Love” Australian tour this April.
Australian fans will be able to see Lenny Kravitz and special guest Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on April 3, Newcastle Entertainment Centre on April 6 and at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on April 8. Tickets now on sale at Ticketek.
Trombone Shorty aka Troy Andrews is a musician, producer and actor who first performed with Kravitz as part of the horn section on his 2005 tour. Troy Andrews is the bandleader and frontman of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, a nine-piece hard-edged funk band that employs brass-band beats, rock dynamics and improvisation in a jazz tradition.
Andrews has performed at the White House five times between 2008-2016, a highlight being in 2012, alongside B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Keb’ Mo’, Mick Jagger, Michelle Obama and twice again in 2015 (for President Obama) with Usher, Queen Latifah, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Aloe Blacc.
