Eilish creates chart history with six tracks in the Singles Chart Top 10

#1: Billie Eilish ‘Bad Guy’ (Debut) – American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish makes it a #1 double on this week’s ARIA Charts as she debuts at #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Bad Guy’ and at the top of the Albums Chart with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. ‘Bad Guy’ is Eilish’s first #1 single in Australia and is one of eight tracks from the album to debut in this week’s Top 50. Others to debut include ‘All the Good Girls Go To Hell’ (#8), ‘Xanny’ (#10), ‘My Strange Addiction’ (#12), ‘I Love You’ (#20), ‘Ilomilo’ (#23), ‘Listen Before I Go’ (#29) and ‘8’ (#35).

#3: Billie EIlish ‘Bury A Friend’ – As well as the eight debuts on this week’s chart, four Billie Eilish tracks have jumped up the chart and claimed new peaks: ‘Bury A Friend’ (#3), ‘Wish You Were Gay’ (#5), ‘When The Party’s Over’ (#7) and ‘You Should See Me In A Crown’ (#16).

Eilish’s six tracks in the Top Ten breaks the ARIA record for most tracks in the Top Ten previously claimed by Ed Sheeran in March 2017 when he had five tracks in the Top Ten.

#18: Lil Nas X ‘Old Town Road’ – After debuting at #47 last week, American rapper Lil Nas X makes jumps up 29 spots to #18 with ‘Old Town Road’. The song became popular through social media app TikTok and has already made its way up the charts in the US and New Zealand. It appeared on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart but was later removed after being deemed not country music.

#26: Lewis Capaldi ‘Someone You Loved’ – A week on from its debut, the first chart entry for Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, ‘Someone You Loved’, jumps up 20 spots to #26.

#48: Birds Of Tokyo ‘Good Lord’ (Debut) – Birds Of Tokyo return to the ARIA Top 50 for the first time since 2015 with ‘Good Lord’. The Perth band last charted with ‘I’d Go With You Anywhere’ (#18 Nov. ’15). In 2018, they released ‘Unbreakable’, which was chosen as the theme song for the Invictus Games.

#1: Billie Eilish ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ (Debut) – Billie Eilish debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?. It’s the American singer-songwriter’s debut album and is her second appearance on the chart after peaking at #6 in February with EP Dont Smile At Me. 12 of the album’s 14 tracks are in the Top 50 on this week’s ARIA Singles Chart, including ‘Bad Guy’, which has debuted at #1.

#2: Hilltop Hoods ‘The Great Expanse’ – The Great Expanse, the record-breaking sixth #1 album for Adelaide’s Hilltop Hoods jumps back up to #2 in its sixth week in the Top 50 following its release on vinyl.

#6: I Prevail ‘Trauma’ – American metalcore band I Prevail take out a new peak on the Albums Chart with Trauma. The Michigan metalcore band’s second album is their second Top Ten entry after Lifelines (#8 Oct. ’16).

#10: Devin Townsend ‘Empath’ – Prolific Canadian musician Devin Townsend releases his 18th studio album, Empath. It equals Townsend’s highest chart peak, previously reached with Transcendence (#10 Sept. ’16), the final album by the Devin Townsend Project.

#11: The Black Sorrows ‘Citizen John’ – Melbourne blues-rock veterans The Black Sorrows return with 18th studio album, Citizen John. The album becomes the first by the group to hit the ARIA Top 50 since Lucky Charm (#20 Dec. ’94).
