Australian music artist Tamara Shamini is already an award-winning international performer, singer-songwriter, influencer, and model whose music has attracted worldwide radio airplay in Australia, Asia, Europe and North and South America.
But the singer-songwriter’s new track, I’m In Love With You, is sure to expose her music to an entirely new audience. I’m in Love With You is Tamara’s first foray into country and was recorded with renowned Australian country musician and producer Simon Johnson (Troy Cassar Daley, Amber Lawrence, Adam Harvey) at Hillbilly Hut on the NSW Central Coast.
The singer-songwriter has featured in numerous TV, radio and press outlets in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, England, and Australia. With over 3 million views on YouTube to her credit, Tamara Shamini’s new track I’m In Love With You follows her previous releases, which comprise seven singles and two albums, including the 2020 smash Sounds Underground. As Tamara has said about her creative goals and ambitions, ‘I hope to be able to continue reaching out and touching people’s lives in some way. Music is a great form of therapy.’
The therapeutic nature of Tamara’s creativity is perhaps clear on this track, a personal reflection that goes hand in hand with the genre. Although it marks a definitive style departure for the emerging singer-songwriter, I’m In Love With You is no less effective for it, ultimately revealing the scope of her artistic abilities and the adventurous nature of her musical ambitions.
The song features a straight, unobtrusive medium-paced feel accompanied by a sophisticated yet organic musical backdrop, tracing Tamara’s evocative vocal performance with sustained use of dynamism and shared nuance. The melodic power of I’m In Love With You is unassuming yet finely threaded to the musical accompaniment; it’s the kind of song that is furtively hypnotic, as many country tracks are, utilising a cloak of good-natured accessibility which eventually becomes as unforgettable as a hook-filled out and out pop track.
