So Popera Productions, the local production company that brought you Grease, Legally Blonde and Singin’ in the Rain is back with the Broadway smash hit musical Jersey Boys. This rags to riches tale tells the story behind Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
This high energy show is exploding with memorable music and dynamic dances from a stellar local cast, led by ex-Sony Music artist and Cirque Du Soleil Star, Jayden Sierra.
No expense has been spared on this highly technical production of Jersey Boys, bringing a little bit of Broadway to Wollongong. You will feel as if you have stepped back in time to the height of The Four Seasons, when songs like Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Walk Like A Man were topping the charts.
The family-based company from Albion Park are dedicated to dazzling the Wollongong audience with this NSW Amateur Premiere of Jersey Boys.
The CAT Awards have been recognising the achievements of regional theatre, dance and musical productions in NSW and Canberra for over 25 years, and So Popera have tallied up a massive 30+ wins in just the last 7 years. Director Amy Copeland has won Best Director of a Musical 6 times herself – illustrating the company’s ever excelling achievements.
