‘With These Hands’
June 01, 2020
LOVE CHILD have unveiled their new release “With These Hands”-This track comes from the studio sessions the band recently completed in Melbourne with Mark Opitz and mixed by Colin Wynne at Thirty Mill Studios.
The song is a different pace from this rock band, merging together some of their less known influences, and is a brooding soulful ballad with a positive lyric. Release was to be scheduled at a later date, but with the current climate and Isolation it was decided this was the perfect time for release.
As the title suggests anything can be fixed with these hands! It feels like the right time to thank our unsung heroes, the Medical profession and the tireless work the services from Fire Brigades, Ambulances to healthcare and volunteers provide.
Watch ‘With These Hands’
As usual to Love Child’s style there are traces of both sides of the Atlantic being early British rock music with a touch of American soul, but with a distinct Australian blues edge. Inspired by artists like England’s Joe Cocker and America’s Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers) this would sit comfortably on American East Coast Radio.
The last few years has seen the band enter into the next league of festivals and just received rave reviews from the recent Australian Blues Music Festival. The band have always been a favourite on the independent radio charts in the USA and are planning a trip to the States next year.
The last few years have seen consistent releases with legendary producers Craig Porteills and Mark Opitz with all music available on digital platforms through our label Laneway Music.
