Nathan Cavaleri is thrilled to today unveil new single Broken Lines, and announce his fourth studio album Miracles, set for release on June 16 (ABC Music). Pre-order here

Cavaleri explains the single, saying, “Tour life rattles the pillars that many of us rely on to feel human – Sleep, food, familiar people & surroundings. For years this caused many psychological issues until it became my mission to find peace, strength & confidence despite circumstance. With this shift in perception, touring has become an opportunity for personal growth. When I truly surrender to these experiences, I come back home feeling free & energised with memories that outshine past challenges. “Broken Lines” was written as a reminder of all the good that comes from touring. When I’m feeling weakened and lost, I only have to listen to it once to come back down to ground.
“The track’s production needed to reflect the space, depth & expansiveness of life on the road. When recording, I’d put up pictures of the movie “Easy Rider” to put me in the mood. Its strut aligns with the quest for calmness & cool. Its melodies & chords reflect the roads travelled to get there.”

Cavaleri has documented the entire creative process behind Miracles (“songwriting, recording, producing, mixing – everything”) via the interactive live streaming service, Twitch, accumulating 2 million live viewers through the process.
“It kept me focused,” he says. “I actually perform better and I’m more productive when I stream, because I have to be accountable. They’re stoked as well, because I don’t think a full album’s ever been created on Twitch.”
He continues, “My previous album “Demons” was a time of self discovery. “Miracles” is a time of backing myself and leaping. In doing so, I had to face an intense amount of internal and external resistance that ultimately tested my connection to music and the self. The “lean-in” open push heard in “Miracles” reflects the courage it took to stay true.”
