Moving Pictures – 40 years of Innocence

Moving Pictures – 40 years of Innocence

The 2020 tour comes to The Oaks Hotel Albion Park

February 24, 2020

It was 1980.  Space Invaders was peaking and Pac Man was coming.  We made cassette compilations for our latest crush & we took our music back to the streets with our Walkman.

Girls were in drop-waist dresses and the boys began pushing up their jacket sleeves.  And in the suburban pubs around Sydney, a band called MOVING PICTURES was building a following on the live music circuit.  We were still innocent… but the 1980’s was just getting started.

And now, kickstarting their ‘40 YEARS OF INNOCENCE’  tour later in 2020, MOVING PICTURES will be performing four exclusive preview shows this February-March!

MOVING PICTURES will also be performing at the Brighter Days Festival, in Bright Victoria on Sunday, March 8.

From that most Australian of anthems, “What About Me”, to the high-energy portrait of our suburban teenage years “Bustin’ Loose” & their international hit from the movie Footloose “Never”, the “40 Years of Innocence” preview shows will blast out a concert of their biggest hits and more high-energy favourites for all lovers of MOVING PICTURES and the 1980’s.

Watch ‘What About Me’

These shows will also see the exclusive preview performances of MOVING PICTURES first new single in over 2 decades!  Co-written by Australian music hitmaker & MOVING PICTURES lead guitar, Garry Frost, and Joey Perrone (Young Talent Time), ‘Where Are They Now?’ is a retro-rock crowd-pleaser that promises to become another hit for this classic Aussie band.

Add in all the fan faves and red-hot reversions of tracks like “Born to Run” (Springsteen) & “Wavelength” (Van Morrison) and the MOVING PICTURES Preview Shows will deliver a fully-charged show of their timeless 80’s pop-rock power in full voice and full glory .

It’s time to celebrate the classic pop-rock songs of the ’80s with one of Australia’s best-loved live bands – MOVING PICTURES & 40 YEARS OF INNOCENCE!
