Leaving Lennox are undeniably saturated with on-stage chemistry that is unreplicable. Combine pop-folk with haunting harmonies and soulful guitar work and you’ve got the award winning Australian duo, comprised of singer- songwriters, Mick Hambly & Lauren Val.
The pair made the big move to Music City, taking on Nashville with their fresh and unique sound. Their songwriting tells a story that audiences can relate to- translated through their organic sound.
Their latest single “Old Love”, released end of July, features Aaron Sterling on drums, who is the live touring drummer for John Mayer and session drummer for artists such as Maren Morris, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, James Bay and Keith Urban.

The inspiration for “ Old Love”, actually came from observing friends and family and how they moved on, or didn’t move on, from what they believed was their first love. The song is written from both perspectives of a past relationship and references “the one that got away”.
The pair plan to tour the new music around Nashville and have lined up a string of music festivals and songwriting festivals throughout Georgia, Alabama and Florida.
They are headlining Princeton Kentucky’s “Annual Artisan Festival”, playing Georgia’s “Big Red Apple Festival”, the. “Tennessee State Fair” and also taking part in the 10 day “Frank Brown International Songwriting Festival”, alongside 200 established songwriters on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and Florida.
“Leaving Lennox” have also been nominated for four awards in the 2019 Josie Music Awards, the largest award show in the world for independent musicians, with over 23 000 submissions in 2019.
The awards include Best Pop/Contemporary Duo, Best Folk/Americana/bluegrass Duo, folk single of the year and a solo submission for Mick, as Musician of the Year. The Single “Old Love” has won “Best Pop Song”, in the 2019 World Songwriting Awards.
