Multifaceted Australian music artist IamSnap has released No Parole, the follow-up to his recent track, Tillerman.
IamSnap (Shannon Elliott) has been a writer, actor and recording artist for over twenty years. With numerous Billboard and Top 10 U.S iTunes Chart impacts to his credit, IamSnap has also written songs for countless artists, including Honey Shazad (Britain’s Got Talent), Noah Fonoti (X-Factor) and Chris Sheehy (The Voice Australia).
IamSnap has toured extensively and shared the stage with such rap luminaries as Grammy Award winners Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and worked with artists such as Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Swifty McVay (D12), B.G. Knoccout and Dr Dre’s son Curtis Young. IamSnap has featured on a project (DJ Cell Smoke Chronicles) alongside the iconic E-40 that peaked at #4 on the US iTunes Charts. That same project charted again in 2021 and went to #1 on iTunes and #20 Billboard Charts.
Within hours of the release of IamSnap’s EP, The Entry (2021), the record generated 340k streams. The two projects made the top 50 iTunes Charts, peaking at #31 and #33. IamSnap’s sick love music video was also a finalist at the Cannes Film Festival, Oniros Film Festival New York, and received an honourable mention at the Falcon International Film Festival London. The music video for his last release, Tillerman, was also featured on MTV Australia.
No Parole fuses dark pop, rap, and contemporary hip hop to create a track with hooks and a lyric that’s as barefaced as it is slippery. As a result of its first-person point of view, the narrative is highly charged and naturally persuasive. With lines like, ‘These walls are all I see / this life is all I know / I been doin time at Folsom / haven’t seen the sun since I dunno,’ the reference to a classic prison-themed track also emboldens the song, infusing it with a salient edge.
With previous radio rotation on MTV across NZ and AUS, Australian Radio Networks – THE EDGE, Grant Broadcasters – OZ MADE, Super Radio Networks – Triple G & 2MO and CRN’s BRL & Tune1, No Parole will undoubtedly win over legions of new fans and attract plenty of streaming action.
