With less than a week to go until the Farmer & The Owl Festival takes over MacCabe Park inWollongong, the carefully curated, indie-centric festival today announces they will be presenting a series of in-depth interviews and performances featuring artists from the line-up and hosted by Australian punk rock guitarist & radio presenter Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougall (Frenzal Rhomb, ABC Illawarra).
Taking place in the Record Room, a sprawling space in the Salt Building dedicated to all thing’s vinyl, across 2.5 hours “The Doctor” will lead a series of interviews & performances, featuringStella Donnelly, TOTTY, Sunscreen, Carla Geneve & Joyce Manor, in front of a live audience.
Australian independent labels, Spunk,Rice Is Nice, Pieater, Hotel Motel, Bedroom Suck, Our Golden Friend and Farmer & The Owl will host stalls in the Record Room. Independent retailerMusic Farmers will cover releases from artists across the line up and a specially curated selection of must have vinyl from some the world’s best indie record labels.
FOOD STALLS
Looking for something to munch on while you’re discovering your new favourite band? You definitely won’t be hard pressed for choice as you trawl the food stalls, from Venezuelan to Balinese, American favourites and Middle Eastern, they have all continents covered. Local foodie favs Balinese Spice Magic, Coco’s Coffee Magic, Moe’s Burgers, Samara’s, will join out of towners Arepa, Citrus Factory, Dolce Bacio, Long John Hotdogs, Sevs Turkish Gozleme, That Aranancini Guy & Yans Asian Catering.
Farmer & The Owl is the perfect way to usher in the cool change of Autumn, with 3500 other music fans, some of your favourite artists, and a bunch you are about to discover who will become just that!
