FALLING IN AN ELEVATOR EP OUT AUGUST 23RD
VIA SPUNK! RECORDS
August 09, 2019
Off the back of their ‘High Over Love’ tour East Coast tour, Sydney’s beloved indie rock four-piece Sunscreen waste no time in sharing compelling new gem, ‘Think About You’.
Premiering via HighClouds and receiving a first spin on Unearthed’s TOPS this week, ‘Think About You’ is the second cut from the band’s forthcoming second EP, Falling In An Elevator – out Friday August 23rd via Spunk! Records.
Propulsive and romantically-charged, ‘Think About You’ is “Sunscreen’s love song”, says vocalist and guitarist Sarah Sykes. “It’s about thinking about someone all day. This song is reminiscent of all things new, bright, and exciting – the feeling when you just can’t get close enough to someone”, she continues.
‘Think About You’ allows listeners a second glimpse into Sunscreen’s forthcoming Falling In An Elevator EP, produced by Simon ‘Berkfinger’ Berkelman (Philadelphia Grand Jury, Art Vs. Science).
Listen to ‘Think About You’
Exuding a beautiful toughness, the energetic five-track EP reflects the psyche of a romantically confused young person trying to survive in the big city. Written over the course of years, the EP explores romantic idealisation, heartache and self-possession with frank, powerful vulnerability.
The track follows recent single ‘High Over Love’ which received an add to Fbi Radio rotation, a spin on triple j’s Home & Hosed, an add to Spotify’s Broad Chords and saw the accompanying music video added to rage.
Having recently supported the likes of DMAs, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Jen Cloher and Ali Barter on tourand taking stage at Farmer & the Owl and Grampians Music Festival, Sunscreen hit the road last month in support of ‘High Over Love’, performing to packed out venues in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Sunscreen will bring their captivating live show to venues along the East Coast again this October in support of their Falling In An Elevator EP, with dates soon to be announced.
