Event Info, Pre and Post-Party Deets!

One and a half weeks out from Yours and Owls Festival 2023, you know what that means! Housekeeping time!
We know we sound like a broken record with this one, but it must be said; the laws regarding illegal drug use on-site at Yours and Owls are no different to those in real life; a zero-tolerance approach is implemented across the festival site. However, taking the abstinence-only line is unrealistic and unhelpful, so as always, we have been working closely with police, ambulance, medical staff, security and other organisations to minimise risk.
Ultimately, we ask individuals to take responsibility for themselves and their decision-making pre, during and after the event to ensure they have a safe time.
If you or any of your friends feel unwell, get assistance immediately from the Dancewize crew, event staff, or security. Go straight to the medical tent for judgement-free assistance. We can’t stress enough that you WILL NOT get into trouble when seeking medical assistance; remember, your safety and that of your mates is everyone’s number one priority.
What about pill testing, you ask? Until the NSW Labour Government follow their QLD colleagues and give pill testing the green light, we cannot implement it at the event. We are hopeful in the future, we will be given the approval to access this proven harm minimisation tool.
NSW Police have confirmed they will be on-site with drug dogs and will be conducting strip searches.
We suggest you familiarise yourself with your rights when it comes to police strip searches prior to entering the event, and please contact a lawyer if you feel these rights have been violated.
Dancewize and UOW’s Respectful Communities (SARC) team will be on-site to support anyone during or after the event to assist you. You will find the Dancewize and SARC located next to the Young Henry’s Pub and next to the medical zone at Das Schmelthaus.

There are a number of transport options for you to get to our new home at The University of Wollongong on Northfield Avenue, Gwynneville, including free city rail trains for all ticket holders, plus buses, event shuttles, rideshare and taxis. Tickets
Moshtix is the only authorised ticket seller for Yours and Owls and all tickets must be purchased through Moshtix to be valid at the gate. Fans will be able to control their tickets via their Moshtix account which will include the ability to change the name on the ticket, resell their ticket (via private link), resend their tickets to themselves and access Moshtix Fan Experience.
