GOOD LEKKER unveil hypnotic new vid ‘Hard To Be Alone’

April 10, 2021

Wollongong-based indie-dance band Good Lekker have just revealed an enthralling accompanying video for their single ‘Hard to Be Alone’ – shot by Jamison Kerr, directed and edited by Nicholas Issakson, and graded by Wes Grant.

Shot at Hillview Heritage Hotel in the Southern Highlands, the video features appealing indoor and outdoor visuals, harsh red and green lighting, and spellbinding quick cuts. The protagonist, played by co-vocalist Alex Grey, travels through a dream-like vortex of haunting and exaggerated imagery, as the clip nods to the confronting certainty of insecurities.

Grey talks about the meaning behind ‘Hard to Be Alone’:

“The video is toying on the instabilities that many relationships have. It does this by having the protagonist going slightly crazy throughout the video. He is stuck in his own head and the real world.”
