newcomer’s debut music video

Melbourne-based singer and songwriter WINIFRED is delighted to share the video for debut single ‘Chain‘ today.   She says:

“When it came to making a video for “Chain”, I wanted to take a minimal, low-key approach and shoot me performing the song live in an old, stripped down warehouse instead. I love music videos but for my first release I wanted to capture the live performance aspect and put the spotlight on “Chain” and its message.”

WINIFRED sings about the nostalgia associated with lost relationships on her brooding debut release. She says:“’Chain’ is about that feeling like you’re bound by memories, haunted by someone as if they were a physical chain around your neck. But it’s also about piercing through that veil, that distorts your vision and plays tricks on your mind.”

While ‘Chain‘ marks the arrival of an exciting new pop talent, WINIFRED has previously worked with fellow Melbourne-based artist-producer Alice Ivy, havingco-written her recent single ‘In My Mind feat. Ecca Vandal‘. 

‘Chain‘ is the first local release for eOne Music Australia and is available worldwide now.  WINIFRED  is currently developing her live show – set to debut in early 2020 – with Australian artist/musical director Yeo.
