Following an extensive search across more than 80 University campuses which saw hundreds of entries, SIX live acts will be transported from around Australia to participate in a 48-hour celebration of new music in Sydney.
The artists will have the opportunity to experience music industry networking at the highest level, perform live in one of Sydney’s hottest venues and participate in music industry media opportunities, all in recognition of being selected as one of the hottest emerging acts in the country. UNISOUNDS National Campus Music Competition proves that the music scene is alive and kicking on our tertiary campuses.

On the day of the Final, these unsigned artists from across the country will set-up at the legendary Studios 301 and participate in a series of private Q&A sessions and networking lunch with leading industry executives representing the likes of Kobalt Publishing and Music Services, Universal Music Group, Believe, Studios 301, Hub Music Group, The Harbour Agency, Purple Sneakers and Sonic Lawyers.
The artists will then converge on the Vic On the Park for the inaugural SLAM! event where they will perform LIVE to a room of industry reps and general public, to prove why they should receive the career kick-starting prize package valued at more than $100,000. The prize includes the
opportunity of an international record deal with Dine Alone Records, recording time and production at Studios 301, a vinyl pressing courtesy of Zenith Vinyl, a photoshoot by the revered Tony Mott, swag from Levis and Redback Boots and a guaranteed slot at Australian Music Week 2019’. The National winner will be announced on the night at SLAM!
SLAM! is a FREE event featuring a LIVE performance from each of our finalists, plenty of prizes including concert tickets, a pool competition, drink specials, meat tray giveaways and much more. The event will be hosted by the comedic genius of Nina Oyama, known for her roles on The Project and on ABC’s Utopia! All followed by an epic After Party hosted by our mates at Purple Sneakers.
